NAGARA or How to describe two concurrent actions in Japanese

Use word ながら to express that one action is taking place while another action .

In the first part of sentence , it is a secondary action ( that happening in the same time with main action) , expressed with help of Stem Verb , then , word NAGARA ( while ) , and the end of a sentence, it is main action, expressed with verb in present or past form .

Steam Verb is MASU verb , but WITHOUT MASU part → 食べ、飲み、読み、遊び 、etc .

Extra action (stem verb) + NAGARA + main action 

お菓子を食べながらしゅくだいをしました。
I did homework while eating sweets .

音楽を聞きながら朝ご飯を料理します。
I cook the breakfast while listening a music .

いつも音楽を聞きながら部屋をそうじをします。
Usually I clean the room while listening to a music .

ルームメイトと話しながら映画を見ました。
I watched a movie while talking to my roommate .

私はアニメを見ながら日本語を勉強します。
I study Japanese while watching the anime .

私はマンガ「けいおん！」を読みながら日本語を勉強します。
I study Japanese while reading the manga "K-ON!" .

ベンチに座りながら本を読んでいます。
While sitting on a bench I reading a book .

マンゴージュースを飲みながらニュースを読みます。
Read news while drinking mango juice .

ゆいちゃんはギータを弾きながら歌を歌いました。 - Yui sang a song while playing the guitar .
