JLPT verbs (N5) - 言う (to say) and 話す (to talk) . Difference . Conjugation .

Difference between verbs 言う and 話す . 
The basic difference is that when you use 言う , you don't necessarily have to have a listener; the focus is on the words that come out of your mouth. On the other hand, 話す focuses more on "communication" or "conversation" so when you 話す, you will likely to have a listener, be it you yourself or someone else. 
When you use 言う it means that you say one or some words or some sentences , but when you use 話す, it means that you speak about something with another person or other people .  

Conjugation 言う 
言う （いう） - iu - to say
言います （いいます） - iimasu - (will) say
言えます （いえます） - iemasu - can say
言いました （いいました） - iimashita - said
言いません （いいません） - iimasen - (will) not say
言えません （いえません） - iemasen - can't say
言いませんでした （いいませんでした） - iimasen deshita - didn't say
言えませんでした （いえませんでした） - iemasen deshita - couldn't say
言いたいです （ いいたいです） - iitai desu - I want to say
言いたいんです（いいたいんです） - iitai n desu - I really want to say
言いたくないです （いいたくないです） - iitakunai desu - I don't want to say
言ってください - please say
もう一度言ってください （もういちど・いってください） - please it say again
今何て言いましたか？もう一度言ってください。 - What did you said ? Please say it again .
お名前を言ってください - please say your name

Conjugation 話す
話す - はなす - hanasu - to talk ; to speak
話します - はなします - hanashimasu - (will) talk
話せます - はなせます - hanasemasu - can talk
英語を話せますか？ - Can you speak English ?
今は話せますか？ - Can you speak now ?
話しました - はなしました - hanashimashita - talked
話しません - はなしません - hanashimasen - don't talk
話せません - はなせません - hanasemasen - can't speak
話しませんでした - はなしませんでした - hanashimasen deshita - didn't talk
話せませんでした - はなせませんでした - hanasemasen deshita - couldn't talk
話しましょう - はなしましょう - hanashimasyou - let's talk
話しましょうか - はなしましょうか - hanashimasyouka -why don`t we talk
話したいです - はなしたいです- hanashitai desu - I want to talk
話したくないです - はなしたくないです - hanashitakunai desu - I don't want to talk
話してください （はなしてください）- please talk
もう少しゆっくり話してください - can you please speak a little more slowly ? 
もう少し早く話してください （もう・すこし・はやく・はなしてください） - please speak a little faster
おばあちゃん、もういちど、話してー！- Grandma , tell (the story) again !
