Casual potential form of Japanese verbs

1) ability to do something 
話します → 話せます - can speak

2) permission to do something under a certain circumstances
使います → 使えます - can use

Method No.1
if vowel in the syllable right before MASU ends with E , here before MASU you insert RARE :

1) 食べます → 食べられます - can eat , good enough to eat
2) 開けます （あけます） →  開けられます （あけられます） - can open
3) 閉めます （しめます）→ 閉められます （しめられます） - can close
4) 考えます （かんがえます）→ 考えられます （かんがえられます） - can think about
5) 教えます（おしえます） → 教えられます - can teach

Method No.2
if vowel in the syllable right before MASU is I , for this verbs exist 2 patterns :

* Pattern A :  I → E
1) 話します→ 話せます - can speak
2) 聞きます → 聞けます - can hear
3) 使います → 使えます - can use , can be used
4) 飲みます→ 飲めます - can drink
5) 動きます（うごきます） → 動けます （うごけます） - can move
6) 行きます → 行けます - can go
7) 歩きます（あるきます） → 歩けます（あるけます） - can walk
8) 走ります （はしれます） → 走れます （はしれます） - can run
9) 働きます （はたらきます）→ 働けます - can work
10) 休みます → 休めます - can rest
11) 泳ぎます → 泳げます - can swim
12) 書きます → 書けます - can write
13) 座ります（すわります） → 座れます - can sit
14) 立ちます （たちます） → 立てます （たてます） - can stand
15) 待ちます （まちます） →  待てます （まてます） - can wait
16) 遊びます → 遊べます - can play
17) 弾きます （ひきます）→ 弾けます - can play (piano , etc)
18) 切ります → 切れます - can cut
19) 押します → 押せます - can press(push)
20) 作ります → 作れます - can make
21) 運びます （はこびます） → 運べます （はこべます）  - can carry , can transport
22) 止まります （とまります） → 止まれます - can stop
23) 急ぎます （いそぎます） → 急げます - can hurry up
24) 学びます → 学べます - can study
25) 送ります （おくります） → 送れます - can send
26) 会います → 会えます - can meet
27) 洗います （あらいます） → 洗えます - can wash
28) 歌います → 歌えます - can sing
29) 帰ります（かえります）→ 帰れます - can go home

*Pattern B : insert RARE before MASU
1) 見ます→ 見られます - can watch
2) 閉じます （とじます） → 閉じられます （とじられます） - can close (book , window in browser) 
3) 起きます （おきます） → 起きられます （おきられます） - can get up

Irregular conjugation :
1) 来ます （きます） → 来られます - can come
2) します → できます - can do
料理します → 料理できます - can cook
勉強します → 勉強できます - can study
散歩します → 散歩できます - can walk
