3 ATSUI Japanese Adjectives

Today I want to talk about 3 common Japanese adjectives with same reading , but with different meanings ヽ(^o^)丿
Here they are → 厚い , 暑い and 熱い . These 3 adjectives can be found in Japanese Language Proficiency Test N5 and also often used in daily life . They have the same reading , but different meaning and different Kanji !
I am trying sound like Sensei (*^.^*)

1) 厚い - thick

厚い本 - thick book
厚い辞書 （ じしょ ）- thick dictionary
厚い氷 - thick ice
厚いコート - thick coat
厚い上着 （ うわぎ ） - thick jacket
厚いメガネ - thick glasses
厚い雲 - thick cloud
厚いカーペット - thick carpet
厚いパンケーキ - thick pancake

2) 暑い - hot (weather)

暑い日 - hot day
暑い夏 - hot summer 
暑い夏の日 - hot summer day
暑い夏日にアイスクリームを食べるのが好きです。 - I like to eat ice cream on hot summer day .  
暑いですね。アイスクリームを食べたいです。 - It is hot , is it not ? I want eat ice cream .
今日はとても暑い。 - Today is very hot .
昨日は暑かった。 - It was hot yesterday .
明日は暑い日です。- Tomorrow  will be hot day .
今日はすごく暑い。 - It is awfully hot today .
今はとても暑いですね？ - It is very hot now , is not it ?
日本の夏は暑いですか？ - Is it hot in summer in Japan ?
この部屋は暑いですね？- It is hot in this room , is it not ?
この部屋はとっても暑いです。窓を開けてください。 - It is very hot in this room . Please open the window.
夏のバスは、とっても暑いですよ！ - It is very hot inside of bus in the summer  !

3) 熱い - hot (thing)

熱いスープ - hot soup
熱いラーメン - hot ramen
熱いコーヒー - hot coffee
熱いお茶 - hot tea
熱いお茶の入ったコップ - cup of hot tea
熱い飲み物 - hot drinks
緑茶は熱いのが好きです。- I like my green tea hot .
熱い食べ物 - hot food
熱い風呂 - hot bath

❀ Hair styling vocabulary ❀

うねうねヘア - very curly , going different directions hair
くせ毛 ( くせ・げ ) - frizzy hair ; unruly hair
頑固なくせ毛 （ がんこな・くせもう ） - stubborn frizzy hair

やっかいな髪 （かみ）- troublesome hair

パサパサして見える - looks dried out

お悩み ( おなやみ ) - your worries , concern

めっちゃガンコなくせ毛 ( げ ) - very stubborn unruly hair

直毛 （ ちょく・もう ）- straight hair
まっすぐな直毛 - straight straight hair

まっすぐな髪 - straight hair
髪の毛 ( かみ・の・け ) - hair (head) 

毛先 ( け・さき ) - hair ends
髪の内側 ( かみ・の・うちがわ ) - inner part of hair
髪がキレイに見える - hair look beautiful
サラサラストレートヘア - silky straight hair
さらっさらのストレート - very straight (?)
巻き髪 ( まきがみ ) curled hair ( curled artificially )
ふわふわの巻き髪 - fluffy and curly hair

髪がしっとりする - to moisturize hair

髪ヤケド防ぎ - prevent hair burn

用 ( よう ) - use 
ふんわりやわらか - fluffy and soft 
毛束 （ け・たば ） - bundle of hair (пучек волос)
髪の根元 （ かみのこんげん ）- root of hair
アイロン連用 （ れんよう ） - continuous using iron

JLPT N5 Verbs 座る (to sit) and 立つ (to stand) . Conjugation .

座る ( すわる ) - to sit

Mnemonic - at the bus stop (广) , two people (从) , SITTING on a bench (土) and waiting for bus .

椅子に座る猫 - cat sit on a chair 

椅子に座る男性の写真 - a picture of man who sit on a chair
座ります ( すわります ) - (will) sit
座れます ( すわれます ) - can sit 
座っています ( すわっています) - sitting
美しい女子は、公園に木の下に座っています。 - Beautiful girl is sitting under a tree in a park .
彼はベンチに座っています。 - He is sitting on a bench .
私はソファーに座っています。 - I am sitting on the sofa . 
座りません ( すわりません ) - don`t sit
座りました ( すわりました ) - sat
座ってださい (すわってください ) - please sit down
座りたいです ( すわりたいです ) - I want to sit
座りたくないです ( すわりたくないです ) - I don`t want to sit
座りましょう ( すわりましょう ) - let`s sit

立つ ( たつ ) - to stand ; to stand up

自分で立つ傘 - umbrella that standing by itself 
立ちます ( たちます ) - (will) stand
立ちました ( 立ってました ) - was standing
立った ( たった ) - stood
立ってください ( たってください ) - please stand up
立ちませんでした ( たちませんでした ) - did not stand
立ちたいです ( たちたいです ) - I want to stand up
立ちたくないです ( たちたくないです ) - I don`t want to stand up
立ちましょう ( たちましょう ) - let`s stand 

JLPT N5 Verbs 覚える (to memorize) and 忘れる (to forget) . Conjugation .

覚える （おぼえる） - to memorize ; to remember

Mnemonic - sparks (⺍) of diligence flying from a hat (冖) of the student (見) , who trying to memorize a difficult lesson .

覚えます （おぼえます） - (will) memorize  
覚えてください - please memorize 
覚えました - memorized
覚えません - don`t remember
覚えませんか - why we don`t memorize (?)
覚えませんでした - did not memorized
覚えたいです - I want to memorize
覚えくないです - I don`t want to remember
覚えましょう - let`s memorize

忘れる （わすれる） - to forget

In the middle of forest , in the small hut , on the stump (心) , sitting the guy (亡) . He FORGOT the way to home .

Conjugation JLPT ( N5 ) Verbs 寝る (to sleep) and 起きる (to wake up)

寝る （ねる） - to go to bed ; to sleep 

Mnemonic - under roof (宀) , put his walking stick (爿) next to the bed (冖) with thin legs (又) , sleeps tired traveler (ヨ).

猫は、寝るのが好きです。- Cat like sleeping .
もう寝る時間です。 - It is your bedtime soon . 
今日、君はいつに寝るのですか？ - What time do you go to bed today ?
毎晩、寝るの前に歯を磨く。 - Every evening , I brush my teeth before go to bed .
寝ます （ねます） - (will) go to bed
毎日、私は午後１１時ごろに寝ます。 - I go to bed about 11:00 p.m. every day .
今夜は、早く寝ます。 - I will go sleep early this evening .
寝ました - went to bed
寝ません - does not sleep
寝ませんでした - did not went sleep
寝たいです - I want go to sleep (?)
寝たいんです - I really want go to sleep (?)

Mnemonic - after wake up , a small girl (已) brushing teeth and washing her face , standing on a stool , at front of mirror  (走) .

起きます （おきます） - (will) wake up
起きました - woke up
今日私は、早く起きました。 - I woke up early today . 
私はは土曜日に午前１１時３０分起きました。 - On Saturday I woke up at 11:30 a.m.
起きません - don`t wake up
起きませんでした - did not woke up
起きたいです - I want wake up
起きたくないです - I don`t want wake up
起きましょう (おきましょう) - let`s wake up
起きてください (おきてください) - please wake up
